Maungamgan Beach is the most popular and famous beach in the area. It is located 12 miles along a well-sealed road from Dawei City and the beach is very under developed and primarily servicing the local Dawei residents and it is a very popular beach among the locals therefore on the weekends and public holidays, the beach is pretty crowed wit locals.

Along the shoreline, there are a various of local seafood restaurants and small bamboo huts to drink beer and enjoy the scenery. The beach itself is quite long and walking along the shoreline, you will have many opportunities to photograph the daily lives of the villagers. Maungamgan Beach is also a great place to watch the sunset and Myaw Yit Pagoda is 30 minutes’ drive away from Maungmagan beach.
