A visa is required in advance for a visit to Myanmar for all travelers and can be obtained from any Myanmar Embassy or Consulate world-wide or E-visa.

To expedite the implementation of Myanmar’s e-government digitization and to support the development of Myanmar’s tourism industry, the Ministry of Immigration and Population launched the e-Visa Website (evisa.moip.gov.mm) on 1st September 2014.

Tourist Visa on Arrival for Chinese and Indian citizens have been granted starting from 30-08-2023 as a one-year pilot project in accordance with COVID-19 rules and regulations of the Ministry of Health.

The procedure is simple and you can get the support from embassy/ consulate staff via phone or direct meeting. Visitors who come by overland border crossing, ocean cruise must apply visa through Embassy. No Exception so far!
