Upon arrival, Myanmar Damsel’s guide welcomes you at Mandalay international airport and offers you any assistance needed before leaving the arrival terminal; you will be on your way to check into your hotel (if available). After refreshment at the hotel, visit Shwenandaw Kyaung (Golden Palace Monastery), a delicately carved wooden building, and Kuthodaw Pagoda (the world’s largest book), consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures.

Finally, visit Mandalay Hill at Sunset. Up on the hill, you find a scenic view of the city, the plains surrounding it, the Shan Mountain, as well as the Ayeyarwaddy River, especially great at sunset. Return to hotel and overnight in Mandalay.

After breakfast at the hotel, visit Mahamuni Pagoda, the most revered Buddha statue in entire Myanmar. En-route to the pagoda, stop to observe the process of Gold-Leaf Beating, where gold is painstakingly hammered into tissue-thin squares. Next, visit Craft Workshop specializing in one of the arts for which the city is famous: Bronze-Casting, Marble-Carving, and Wood-Carving.

In the afternoon, transfer to Mandalay jetty for an upriver boat cruise to the ancient capital of Mingun. It takes approx.; one-hour drive by boat. The interesting sites in Mingun are: the huge and unfinished Mingun Pahtotawgyi temple and next visit nearby Mingun Bell (90 tons), the second-largest bell in the world are the most prominent religious heritages; and then the Mya Thein Dan Pagoda.  Afterward, return on board, and on the way back to Mandalay, you can enjoy the sunset of the Irrawaddy River on the cruise. Overnight in Mandalay.

After breakfast at hotel, head to ancient capital of Amarapura, a royal capital founded before Mandalay. Firstly, visit Mahagandayon Monastery; every day at mid-morning, monks and novices line up to receive their daily offering of alms and food from faithful Buddhists. Then, visit weaving industries, a traditional silk & cotton weaving. Afterwards, head to Sagaing, the spiritual center of Myanmar. Hundreds of stupas, monasteries, temples and nunneries are to be found in Sagaing Hill, thousands of monks and nuns retreat here for meditation and contemplation. Visit some of the most famous temples, such as Tupayon Paya and Hsinmyashin Paya (the Pagoda of Many Elephants).

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, proceed to the ancient capital of Inwa and sightseeing by horse carriage, including stops at the famous Bagaya Kyaung, and Me Nu Oak Kyaung Monasteries. Then, transfer to the two-century-old U-Bein teak bridge on the Taungtaman Lake. Take a leisurely walk over the bridge and enjoy the panoramic sunset view of Taungthaman Lake and the surrounding. Finally, return to Mandalay. Overnight in Mandalay.

Early morning at 06:00, transfer to jetty to take the express cruise (ETD 06:30, ETA 17:30, the downriver journey takes 7 to 9 hours depending on the ferry, water level, and weather condition) to Bagan. This boat journey allows visitors to experience ways of life and a different phase to enjoy one’s visit to Myanmar. After a day river cruise on the Ayeyarwaddy, you reach Bagan. Thousands of decaying pagodas rise majestically from the plain to create a timeless scene, saluting a glorious past. Upon arrival at Bagan jetty, transfer to hotel for check-in and overnight in Bagan.

After breakfast at the hotel, the tour begins at colorful Nyaung U Market, Shwezigon Pagoda, and its magnificent golden stupa, Htilominlo Temple noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sand stone decoration, Gubyaukgyi Temple, with superb mural paintings of jataka scenes.

In the afternoon, visit Myinkaba Village and observe the process of the Traditional Lacquer ware Industry one of Myanmar’s best-known handicrafts. Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece of the early-style temple with four impressive standing Buddha images. Thabinnyu Temple, the highest temple in Bagan, Dhammayangyi Temple noted for its remarkable brickwork. In the late afternoon, enjoy an unforgettable Bagan sunset at Pagoda Hillock. Overnight in Bagan.

After breakfast at the hotel, explore Kyauk Gu U Min by e-bike, a spectacular cave temple with notable sandstone carvings and a colossal Buddha image, located on the bank of the Ayeyarwaddy River. Cycle in a northeasterly direction with first a stop at Mani Sithu Central Market, Nyaung Oo. Especially early morning there is plenty of activity at this local fresh market. Then, cross through Nyaung Oo town itself and follow the main road out until a point where we go left on a dirt road to reach Kyauk Gu U Min shortly after. (Total cycling time is approx. 1 hour) Descend a long staircase down to the entrance of the cave. Take some time to observe the interesting cave temple with a number of separate small chambers founded by King Narapathi Sithu. Afterward, return to Bagan. (10-15 km cycling to the northeast of Bagan).

In the afternoon, enjoy the Myanmar Traditional Sport Cane Ball (Chin Lone) performance ceremony. Chin lone is one of the popular and favorite spots in Myanmar.  Anywhere, any person, adult or youth, man or woman or of any race or religion can play cane-ball. It is a non-competitive and inexpensive sport which can play both rich and poor. It can be played individually or in groups that comprise three, five, or six members. If you wish to have your own experience, play together with the locals and you will have an unforgettable experience and moment in Myanmar.  After the demonstration, return to the hotel. Overnight in Bagan.

After breakfast at the hotel, head to Mount Popa, 58 km and 1.5 hours drive away from Bagan; an extinct volcano with its shrines dedicated to animist spirits known as “Nats”. For the energetic, time to climb up the 777 steps to the shrine at the top of the volcanic plug.

En-route stop at village cottage industry to learn the regional product as well as to watch the collection of juice from the palm trees, and its conversion to brown sugar. Afterward, continue the drive to Kalaw. Transfer to your hotel for check-in. Overnight in Kalaw.

After breakfast at the hotel, sightseeing in Kalaw; a popular hill station in the British days, Kalaw sits high on the western edge of the Shan Plateau. It is still a peaceful and quiet place with an atmosphere reminiscent of the colonial era. Explore this former British hill station on foot, first visit the colorful local market, one of the main attractions in Kalaw.

Afterward, visit Hsu Taung Pye Paya which is located nearby Kalaw market. And then visit Thein Taung Paya: temple perched on the hill overlooking the Thazi-Taunggyi Road. In the afternoon, transfer to Kalaw train station for a train journey to Shwe Nyaung (13:30-17:00), enjoy the scenic landscape and ways of life during the short ride. On arrival, transfer to hotel by car. Overnight in Inle Lake.

After breakfast at the hotel, visit the five-day rotation market (if it is taking place in Inle on that day), afterward, the boat takes you through a long channel and passing plenty of farms, local farmers and boatmen. Then leading to the hidden Indein Pagoda Complex. Located on the shore of the lake, this site consists of hundreds of small stupas overgrown by moss and greens. Take a relaxing stroll through a bamboo forest! Awe-inspiring and so photogenic!  The population density in Indein is very little and the villagers earn their living with agriculture and you will see their traditional lifestyle.

Continue on foot and pass rice fields to the village of Sae Ma, stopping to explore the village and the local school. In the afternoon, visit Phaungdawoo Pagoda which houses the five most revered Buddha Images in the southern Shan State, next to the weaving village of Inpawkhon village then stops at Nampan village to observe the locals make cigars and boats, and Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery. Return by boat to the hotel. Overnight in Inle Lake.

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for a flight to Yangon (10:10-11:20). On arrival, starts an orientation tour of downtown Yangon. You will drive through Yangon’s busy roads and take a glimpse of the hustle downtown, Mahabandoola Park, Town Hall and there is a mixture of churches, mosques, Pagoda and magnificent colonial buildings of the high court, telegraphic office, Economic Bank, The office of Inland Water Transport, Myanmar Port Authority and the Custom House. This introductory drive will end with a stop near Sule Pagoda – dating back over 2,000 years ago, for brief photo taking. Next, visit Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha.

In the afternoon, visit Bogyoke Aung San Market (Scott Market), a pleasant covered market containing crafts from all corners of Myanmar, gems, fabrics, and more. (The market is closed on Mondays and public holidays). Finally, visit Shwedagon Pagoda, the finest of Yangon and perhaps the most stunning religious edifice in the world. Take your time to enjoy seeing this impressive feature and watching local people. Stroll on its platform surrounded by a set of smaller temples, shrines, and pavilions, and observe numerous shops along the stairways selling various colorful items, flowers, and books. As the sun sets, the reddish-golden rays of Shwedagon reflect on everything around and turning into a magical arena. Great photo time & a moment to take away with you. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Yangon.
