Chin Hill and Tribes

After Breakfast, drive to Taungsakan located about 14 miles where we have to leave our car, and off road trek (Approximately 3 hours), arrive the top of Mt. Victoria (3109 meters), the third highest mountain of Myanmar. You can visit; the Natmataung National Park covers an area of 722 km with many rare forms of flora and fauna. And it is quite attractive sceneries with numerous kinds of native birds. Take photograph at the top and enjoy the spectacular views over the jungle and mountain area.

Afterwards, climb down to your car, and then continue to Aye village car for 1.5 hours. Aye village is a small Chin village lay on the cliff of the hill, one of the British hill camps and sightseeing in the village. Afterwards, drive back to Kampalet. Overnight in Kanpalet.

After breakfast at resort, two hours drive to trekking starting point and enjoy two hours trekking to kyardo village. The car stops on the road and you walk down to the village about 45 mins.

You will see daily life of remote tribe; Chin tribe women with different patterns of tattoo on the face an attractive amber necklace, houses with animal skull and sacrificial posts. Return to car path, about one-hour trekking. Then proceed to Mindat, more verities of face tattoo women and typical Chin traditional houses. Overnight in Mindat.

After breakfast, drive to Panow Village. You may have the chance to see the famous Chin women with tattooed faces, a fading tradition. They earn their living by hunting and farming in the mountain.

Return back to Mindat. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon explore Mindat area with Chin women wearing big earrings listen to sound of flutes by nose and chin traditional weaving house. Overnight in Mindat.

In the morning after breakfast at Victoria Guest House, drive back to Bagan. Stop for lunch en route. Arrive Bagan in early evening and overnight in Bagan. Hotel in Bagan own arrangement or you book through us the Hotel.
