Panpet Trek

Our guide will pick you up at hotel and transfer to trekking starting point. Trek to Panpet village, which is home of the Kayan tribe (Padaung), also known as the long-necked women who wear brass rings around their necks. On the way, enjoy the nature forest, breathtaking wide range mountain view, birds, pass small villages. Picnic lunch will be served on the way. After 4 hours trekking, arrive Panpet village, take time to stroll around the village and visit the local houses and chat with villagers. You will learn that this tradition started when the older generations believed that the rings helped to hide the women’s beauty, while protecting the village from tiger attacks and men of rival tribes. Afterward exploring in the village, drive back to Loikaw.
