After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Pakokku (37 km and 45 minutes’ drive away from Bagan) and explore the small town and enjoy the sites of this unique rural center. Visit enchanting Pakokku market, local cottage industries such as slipper making and cheroot making workshops which are famous in Myanmar. Next, visit Shwe Gu Pagoda to observe an excellent and artistic arch-pediment which was made of five blocks of teak and inscribe with nine Buddhist stories. From here we visit the ancient Shwe Moke Taw Pagoda built in the 3rd Century B.C, located on the western bank of Ayeyarwady River which gives us a great view of the river. Enjoy lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch, transfer to Pakokku jetty to take a charter boat to Bagan and visit Kyauk Gu U Min, a cave temple on the banks of the Irrawaddy, with notable sandstone carvings and colossal Buddha images. Afterward, continue by boat towards Bagan, watching life along the riverbanks and enjoying the view of the sunset over the Irrawaddy with a cocktail on board. On arrival Bagan Jetty, transfer to hotel.
