Thanlyin Tour

Meet with your guide at the hotel’s lobby around 08:30, start a day tour to Thanlyin (about 45 mins across the Bago River), formerly reigned by Portugal, and across the Yangon River via Thanlyin Bridge, an opportunity to see the countryside around Yangon and there, several 17th century Portugal style destroyed churches and monuments can be discovered. First, we visit the Ancient Portuguese Church (AD 1749 – 1750) and visit the busy local market in Thanlyin. Then, proceed to Kyauk Tan and visit Yele Pagoda (A floating Pagoda which is Pagoda on a small island on a tributary of Yangon’s river) is a popular place for pilgrims.

Enjoy lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, visit Kyaikkhauk Pagoda. Drive back to Yangon. On the way, visit Crocodile Farm, which is this government-run farm that breeds rare crocodiles to maintain their population. Finally, visit National Race Village, you can see traditional homes and replicas of many famous cultural sites representing Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan, and Burma. Afterward, transfer to your hotel.
