Taunggyi and Kakku Tour

After breakfast at hotel, drive into the rolling hills toward south east of the lake. The drive is spectacular, crossing over the railway line and through small villages inhabited to the Pa-Oh people. After 2.5 hours (75 km), you’ll arrive Kakku. Explore the magnificent Kakku Pagoda Complex. It is one of the largest and most spectacular ancient monuments in Asia and the complex consists more than 2,000 pagodas constructed in the 16th century. The first view of Kakku is breathtaking and taking your time to enjoy of this site and discover the intricate carvings and details on the structures. Lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch, stop to visit nearby villages. And then, drive back to Inle. Enroute stop at Taunggyi and visit Taunggyi Myoma market (where you will find colorful tribes, traditional foodstuff, and varieties of fresh vegetable and beautiful flowers). Next, visit Sulamuni Pagoda. Afterwards, continue drive back to Inle Lake and transfer to your hotel.
